Khun_Kong
Damn it, man. How much tougher can it be??!! BKK Post Story DRUG SUPPRESSION New campaign will be [color:"red"]tougher [/color] Defiant traffickers made prime targets The government is about to launch a new round in its campaign against drug traffickers, and this time the action against them will be even tougher than last year, Defence Minister Thammarak Isarangkura na Ayudhaya said yesterday. Smugglers were still bringing in illegal drugs from neighbouring countries and supplying them to young people, he said during a visit to Buri Ram Arrests had increased recently, which showed that defiant drug traffickers were still in business. Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra would call a meeting on March 18 to plan the new offensive. ``The new round of suppression will be more intense to get rid of the people who defy the law because they are ruining the nation,'' Gen Thammarak said. About 2,500 drug suspects were killed during the government's anti-drug war last year. In Ubon Ratchathani yesterday, border patrol police arrested a Lao father and his teenage son on a charge of possessing 160 methamphetamine pills for sale. Sorn or Mek Muangkote, 35, and his son Mee, 15, from Savannakhet were arrested in a hut in Ban Don Ngew village of Warin Chamrap district about 6.30am with the drug and 11,706 baht in cash. Police said the pair sold to workmates at a brick factory.

Guest
please not again. election time is coming up again, and a drugwar might then to be the thing to divert from all the other corruption scandals. no matter that since the last war on drugs the violence and crime rates have increased tremendously.
