Mekong
PTBM Ironically Enough myself and My (Aussie) Project Manager looked at the list tonight over a few Beers. I Came up With Damascus, Lagos and Tripoli, the Top 3 Plus Algiers at Joint Seventh, so 4 for me. He came up with Dhaka, POM and Karachi , 7 of the top ten between 2 people ... and people say contracting is a glamorous life. We get paid because we go where the dirt is. Damascus was a great city when I was there all be it over 20 years ago, rather like Basra In Iraq, I had a great time there way back when it was British controlled, wouldn't get me there for love nor money nowadays. Was I just young and carefree at the time, chasing the $$$ without any thought for the consequences or have I wised up and realised I am not immortal after all no matter what I think? A bit of both to be honest, when young dumb and full of cum, one tends to believe that one is bulletproof, as one gets older (But Not Wiser, I will never reach the "Wise Accolade") you begin to question your mentality. Last year Viet Nam was Ranked second amongst ASEAN Countries amongst Expats http://www.vir.com.v...xpats.htmlYes Little old Viet Nam and often overlooked place, been over here neigh on 4 years now, haha Feck Off you tossers who didn't make the temporary move, not quite the top 14% of earners but well above the average. Two of my contacts, I won't call them mates because not, but contacts have joined me over here in Nam and thank me for the "Heads Up". Admitted one has to jump through more hoops to obtain Temporary Residence and Work Permit than other ASEAN nations but once in you are in for life. I cannot possibly sign off this post without musical interlude could I haha http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oOCtf_vC6dg
bust
I remember when I was working in Lae the people from POM would say they didn't like visiting anywhere in Morobe Province because it was too dangerous I follow an interesting Facebook page which gives a great incite into PNG and it's corruption and violence. Seen some pretty disturbing stuff https://www.facebook.com/groups/PNGACM/
